16,300 tons of steam coal exported via Paradip in Jan

February 12: For two months, it has been noticed that steam coal is being exported through the port of Paradip.

In January 2015, a reduced volume of 16,300 tons was exported against a heftier 32,400 tons in December 2014, showing a decline in volume by 49.69%, as per provisional information available with ICMW.

In both instances, the material has gone to Bangladesh.

In January, the consignments went in the range of Rs 5,861-6,153 per ton while in December 2014, the three consignments were sent in the price range of Rs 4,797 – Rs 4,898 per ton.
