January 14: Imports of steam coal by Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation Limited (APGENCO) during December 2014 stood at 176,000 tons against 121,000 tons reported for November, up 45.45% month-on-month, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
The utility showed 70% materialisation for the month since its import target for December 2014 was 250,000 tons.
The total receipts of imported coal by APGENCO during the first nine months of 2014-15 stood at 1,507,000 tons, up 27.07% compared to 1,186,000 tons received during the corresponding period of 2013-14, the data revealed.
