Coal handling up at Okha port in October

November 15: Handling of coal at Okha port, one of the leading ports under the Gujarat Maritime Board (GMB), stood at 109,097 tons during the month of October 2013 while the figure stood at nil during the previous month, a senior port official told ICMW on November 15.

Coal handling has dropped by 32.39% compared to 161,381 tons in October 2012.

During the first seven months (April-October) of the current financial year 2013-14, total coal handled by the port stood at 330,630 tons whereas the figure stood at 483,031 tons during the corresponding month of the previous fiscal.
