G4 grade sees strong demand in Sept e-auction

October 9: G4 grade coal (GCV range 6,100 Kcal/kg to 6,400 Kcal/kg) offered for allotment through the e-auction platform of coaljunction in September 2014 met with strong demand as the entire offered quantity of 3,575 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 6,229/ton.

G4 grade coal offered for allotment in August 2014 met with very good demand as out of 21,650 tons offered, 99.89% or 21,628 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 5,954/ton.

In fact, the same grade offered for allotment in July 2014 also met with rather strong demand as out of 50,470 tons offered, 94% or 47,412 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 4,896/ton.
