October 10: G8 grade coal (GCV range 4,900-5,200 Kcal/kg) offered by Central Coalfields (CCL) of Coal India (CIL) met with good demand on coaljunction’s e-auction platform in September 2014. The quantity offered during the month stood at 2,000 tons while the total allotted quantity stood at 1,940 tons. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,028/ton.
G8 grade coal offered by two subsidiaries of CIL also met with good demand during August as out of 45,000 tons offered, the allotted quantity stood at 41,090 tons. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,184/ton.
Similar demand was observed in July 2014 as 98.86% of the total offered quantity got allotted. The quantity offered during the month stood at 182,880 tons while the total allotted quantity stood at 180,800 tons. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,935/ton.
