February 24: A more or less fair demand was witnessed for the 486,900 tons of G9 grade (GCV 4,601 to 4,900 Kcal/kg) coal offered by CIL subsidiaries through the MSTC platform in January 2015 as out of this entire offered quantity, 335,910 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,133 per ton.
In fact, similar demand was also witnessed for the 223,300 tons of this grade in December 2014 as out of this entire offered quantity, 184,140 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 1,787 per ton.
On the other hand, high demand was witnessed for the 10,000 tons of G9 grade coal in November 2014 as the entire offered quantity got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 1,588 per ton.
