Gypsum imports via Mundra down 8.47% in September m-o-m

October 17: Imports of gypsum through Mundra port stood at 838.00 tons in September 2013, 8.47% down from 915.00 tons during the month of July 2013, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

Of the total material that arrived in September 788.00 tons came from Iran and nearly 50.00 tons came from Oman.

The material from Iran came in the price range of Rs 1,711 to Rs 3,801 ($26.8-$59.5) per ton while that from Oman came at Rs 4,448 ($70.00) per ton.

In August, of the total 915.00 tons of gypsum import, 212.00 tons came from Iran and 195.00 tons from Oman while 508 tons had come from Saudi Arabia.

The material from Iran had come at a price range of Rs 3,540-Rs 4,578 ($54-$74) per ton, from Oman at a price range of Rs 8,748-Rs 8,782 ($142) per ton while the Saudi Arabia material had come at a price range of Rs 8,586-Rs 8,693 ($133-139) per ton.
