October 17: Spot coal prices in the international markets eased further on October 16 except for South African steam coal (6,000 Kcal/kg NAR).
Spot coal prices continued to decline in the international markets as traders remained apprehensive of a further slowdown in Chinese demand in the coming months.
Freight rates, however, were slightly up on October 16 compared to the previous day (October 15).
