New Mangalore’s Sept pet coke imports at 94,672 tons

October 15: Pet coke imports via New Mangalore Port stood at 94,672 tons during September 2014 while during the previous month, there were no such imports through the port, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

In September 2013, pet coke imports via the port stood at nil.

Total imports of pet coke through New Mangalore Port in April-September, 2014-15 stood at 240,306 tons against 206,187 tons recorded in the same period of the previous financial year.

Following is the monthly break-up of met coke imports via New Mangalore Port in 2014-15 and 2013-14 (in tons):

During September 2014, 31,131 tons came from Saudi Arabia at a price of Rs 5,848 ($96) per ton while the balance 63,541 tons came in from the US at a price of Rs 9,191 ($151) per ton.
