December 31: Gypsum imports via Mundra Port stood at 580 tons in November 2014 against 34,156 tons seen in the previous month, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
In November 2013, gypsum imports via the port stood at 519 tons.
During the first eight months (April-November) of 2014-15, total imports of gypsum through the port stood at 91,362 tons against 33,094 tons seen during the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.

In November 2014, 347 tons came in from Iran at a price range of Rs 3,332-Rs 6,060 ($53-$98) per ton whereas the balance 233 tons arrived from Oman at Rs 3,866-Rs 8,347 ($62-$135) per ton.
However, during October 2014, 107 tons came from Egypt at a price of Rs 10,131 ($163) per ton, 103 tons from Iran at a price range of Rs 4,043-Rs 4,553 ($65-$73) per ton, 33,746 tons from Oman at a price range of Rs 1,192-Rs 8,381 ($19-$135) per ton while the balance 200 tons came in from Saudi Arabia at a price range of Rs 8,556-Rs 8,590 ($138) per ton.
