October 24: Prices of select origin steam coal firmed up a bit on October 22 amidst rumours that China is willing to drop its 6% tax on thermal coal imports, market sources said.
The impact was visible more on Australian steam coal prices, while Indonesian coal prices too inched up a bit, they said.
