SLC (LT) meet postponed to December 20

December 9: The Ministry of Coal (MoC) has postponed without assigning any reason the proposed meeting of the Standing Linkage Committee (Long-Term) for power, sponge iron and cement sectors to December 20.

The meeting was scheduled to be held on December 10.

"The SLC (LT) which was to be held on December 10 has been postponed and will now be held on December 20 at 11 am," an official communiqué said.

The last meeting of SLC (LT) was held on October 4.

Meanwhile, Coal Minister Sriprakash Jaiswal has already indicated that there is no scope for granting of new coal linkages or letters of assurance (LoAs) for the 12th Plan power projects as subsidiary companies of Coal India Ltd (CIL) are already reporting a negative coal balance.
