Shree Cement-RIL pet coke negotiations yet to conclude

December 6: There is no progress so far on negotiations for supply of petroleum coke (fuel grade) by Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) to Shree Cement Ltd in the first quarter of 2014, industry sources said.

Shree Cement has a contract to procure around 350,000 tons of pet coke on a quarterly basis till the December quarter at a fixed price and it was to negotiate with RIL for supplies for January-March, 2014.

“Negotiations are still on… nothing has been finalised yet. Hopefully, things will firm up within this month as supplies will commence in January,” sources said.
