A new dawn for Indian Coal?

04 Sep 2014

With the Supreme Court verdict around the corner, this is a new dawn for the Indian Coal sector and an opportunity for the incumbent government to set in place a road map which brings in large investments to augment coal production and transport coal and at the same time gives Indian industry a level playing field with each other, by creating the right market structure.

A number of global consultants, industry leaders from the private and public sector will be gathering in Kolkata from September 14-16, 2014 to discuss these issues at the 8th Indian Coal Markets Conference, which is being organised by mjunction services, the Coal Consumers’s Association of India and the globally recognised leader in coal information, I H S McCloskey.

Some of the key speakers include Mr N Kumar, Director – Technical of Coal India, Mr BK Saxena, Director – Marketing of Coal India, Mr Asheesh Sharma, Managing Director of Mahagenco, Mr Kameshwar Rao, Partner, PwC India, Mr Prabir Neogi, CEO – New Business, CESC, amongst many others.

The conference has also received confirmed participation from International traders of Coal and the leading consumers of coal from the Power, Cement, Steel, Sponge Iron, Paper, Glass and Ceramics industry. Indian domestic traders and logistics service providers, inspection agencies also comprise the delegate audience.
