APGENCO’s July coal imports up 11.55%

August 12: Imports of steam coal by Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation Limited (APGENCO) during July 2014 stood at 251,000 tons against 225,000 tons reported for June, up 11.55% month-on-month, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

The utility showed 100% materialization for the month since its import target for July 2014 was 250,000 tons.          

The total receipts of imported coal by APGENCO during the first four months of 2014-15 stood at 812,000 tons, up 69.16% compared to 480,000 tons received during the corresponding period of 2013-14, the data revealed.

The import target of the utility over April, May and June, 2014 stood at 250,000 tons each, which means the target was missed in all the three months.
