March 2: There were no imports of steam coal by Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation Limited (APGENCO) during January 2015 while the target for the month had stood at 250,000 tons, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
In December 2014, imports by APGENCO had stood at 176,000 tons.
Total receipts of imported coal by APGENCO during the first 10 months of 2014-15 stood at 1,507,000 tons, up 12.63% compared to 1,338,000 tons received during the corresponding period of 2013-14, the data revealed.
