Anthracite coal imports via Paradip surge 82.22% in Dec m-o-m

January 27: Anthracite coal imports through the port of Paradip were at 26,651 tons in December 2013 against a volume of 14,625 tons reported in November, showing an increase of 82.22%, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

In December, the entire volume arrived from Russia in a price band of Rs 9,942 - Rs 10,293 ($158-$164) per ton.

In November, however, 14,300 tons arrived from Indonesia at a unit price of Rs 9,241 ($146) while 325 tons came from Vietnam at Rs 19,116 ($302) per ton.
