Asian, African coal import falls 0.49% in Sept via RBCT

October 15: The import of coal from South Africa's Richards Bay Coal Terminal (RBCT) by African and Asian countries, excluding India, fell marginally to 2,676,450 tons during September 2013 as compared to 2,689,602 tons imported during August 2013, revealed a data available with ICMW.
However, the import in September this year was significantly higher compared with only 1,406,173 tons imported during the same month of 2012, the data revealed.
The total coal import by African and Asian countries, excluding India, fell by 4.58% to 20,957,003 tons in the first nine months of 2013 compared to 21,962,287 tons imported during the corresponding period last year.
