BHEL commissions 3 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) on Friday said that it has commissioned a 3 MW Solar PV power plant in the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli. The solar PV plant was recently inaugurated by the Prime Minster, Narendra Modi.
 
BHEL has executed this project on a turnkey basis for Dadra and Nagar Haveli Power Distribution Corporation Limited, at Velugam.
 
Significantly, the company is presently executing solar PV projects of about 180 MW for various customers. BHEL offers EPC solution for both off-grid and grid interactive solar PV power plants and has set up solar plants in various locations in India, including the Lakshadweep Islands for island electrification.
 
BHEL manufactures solar cells and modules at its units in Bengaluru. The space grade panels using high efficiency cells and space grade battery panels are manufactured at its Electronics System Division, Bengaluru.

Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd is currently trading at Rs 176.25, up by Rs 0.15 or 0.09% from its previous closing of Rs 176.1 on the BSE.
 
The scrip opened at Rs 176.15 and has touched a high and low of Rs 177.65 and Rs 174.4 respectively. So far 2905443(NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs 43102.24 crore.
 
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 182.65 on 25-Apr-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs 113.9 on 24-Jun-2016. Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 182.65 and Rs 172.45 respectively.
 
The promoters holding in the company stood at 63.06 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 32.32 % and 4.62 % respectively.
