June 27: The total allotment of coal offered by various subsidiaries of CIL through the spot e-auction route in May, fell 7.751% to 5.17 mt as compared to 5.51 mt allotted in April, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
The premium earned over the notified price in May stood at 57.82% over the notified price.
In May, the bid price of the allocated quantity stood at Rs 1,198 crore which was a 58% premium over the notified price of Rs 759 crore.
During the first two months (April-May) of 2014-15, the total allotment of coal through spot e-auction stood at 10.88 mt whereas the offered quantity stood at 11.69 mt, which means nearly 93.07% of the offered quantity was allotted.
The total allotment of coal through spot e-auction during 2013-14 stood at 58.13 mt whereas the offered quantity stood at 68.86 mt, which means nearly 84.42% of the offered quantity was allotted.
The bid price of the allotted quantity during fiscal 2013-14 stood at Rs 12,767.06 crore which was 37.56% higher than the notified price of Rs 9,281.04 crore.
In 2012-13, allotment through spot e-auction stood at 44.26 mt while the offered quantity was 52.43 mt. The bid price of the allotted quantity stood at Rs 11,148.52 crore, which was 49.92% higher compared to the notified price of Rs 7,436.55 crore.
