CMPDI floats tender for study on underground mining

October 7: The Central Mine Planning and Design Institute (CMPDI) has floated a tender seeking consultancy services from reputed institutes for undertaking a study on underground (UG) mining at the coal mines of Coal India Ltd (CIL).
The scope of the study includes assessing the problems, potential, technology, modernisation, production and safety at CIL’s underground mines. For the purpose of the study, each CIL subsidiary has designated a nodal officer who would help the selected entity in its regard.
According to the tender document, the bidders shall be academic/research institutions of repute engaged in academic and/or research activities in the field of mining or consultancy firms /organisations.
The last date for submission of bids is October 20, 2014.
