(MENAFN) China State Railway Group Co., Ltd announced that, Chinese railway domain transported highest amount of coal in December 2020 as need for coal in the thermal power domain has increased.
According to the railway operator, railways managed around 5.6 million tonnes of coal or around 80,000 automobiles of coal a day during December last year, a rise by 10 percent and 9.5 percent annually, respectively.
Of the overall, around 51,000 vehicles of coal were for thermal power factories, a rise of 9.9 percent annually, a record high as well.
Altogether, the railways during December carried 317.85 million tonnes of freight.
