Coal handling at Mormugao Port falls 34.31% in June

July 24: Coal handling at Mormugao Port stood at 519,000 tons during the month of June 2014, down 34.31% from 790,123 tons handled during May, according to a compilation by the Indian Ports Association (IPA).

During June 2013, coal handled at the port stood at 522,000 tons.

During the first three months (April-June) of the current financial year, total coal handled at the port stood at 1,964,000 tons whereas the figure stood at 2,022,000 tons during the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
