Coal handling at Mumbai Port treble in June m-o-m

July 15: Handling of coal at Mumbai Port stood at 515,000 tons during the month of June 2014, up almost three-times from 186,955 tons handled during the previous month, a senior port official told ICMW.

During the corresponding month of the previous fiscal of 2013-14, coal handled at the port stood at 361,639 tons.

During the first three months of 2013-14, total coal handled at the port stood at 1,087,000 tons against 1,026,210 tons reported during the corresponding period of 2013-14.
