Coal handling at Mumbai Port up 58.41% in Jan m-o-m

February 27: Coal handling at Mumbai Port during January 2014 stood at 518,000 tons, up 58.41% from 327,000 tons handled in December, a senior official of the port told ICMW.

During January 2013, total coal handled at the port stood at 186,000 tons.

During the first 10 months (April-January) of the current financial year of 2013-14, total coal handled at the port stood at 3,625,797 tons against 3,357,775 tons recorded during the corresponding period of the previous financial year.
