December 26: Coal handling at Mumbai port during November stood at 503,000 tons, up 13.8% from 442,000 tons handled in October, a senior port official told ICMW on December 26.
During November 2012, coal handling at the port stood at 376,000 tons.
During the first eight months (April-November) of 2013-14, total coal handled at the port stood at 2,780,797 tons compared to 2,909,775 tons in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
