December 31: Spot prices of steam coal in international markets softened further amidst the holidays season which saw reduced number of participants, market sources said.
“Most of the international traders are out of the markets even as some limited deals are being finalised by some Indian companies, mainly at bargain prices,” they said.
South African coal prices slipped further even as Australian and Indonesian prices remained largely stable, they said.
