Spot coal prices remained largely flat in international markets on January 18 amidst continued low demand and sufficient availability, trade sources said.
Any improvement in prices or overall sentiment is highly unlikely in the near future as China continues to remain out of the market, they said.
An indication last week, that Chinese companies are picking up coking coal for stocking purposes, has not much impacted the overall sentiment, they added.
