New UserCochin Port’s Dec gypsum imports up 18% m-o-m

Gypsum imports via Cochin Port stood at 532 tons during the month of December 2015, resulting in an increase of 18.49% in comparison to 449 tons imported in November 2015, as per provisional information available with ICMW.
Meanwhile, gypsum imports through this port during the first nine months (April- December) of 2015-16 were at 4,627 tons, resulting in a rise of 2.80% in comparison to 4,501 tons imported during the same period in 2014-15.
However, 1,027 tons of gypsum were imported via the port in December 2014.

During December 2015, 186 tons came from Iran in a price range of Rs 4,825-Rs 4,931 ($72-$73) per ton and 346 tons from the UAE at a price range of Rs 3,157-Rs 10,112 ($47-$150) per ton.
During November 2015, out of the total imports of 449 tons, 240 tons came from Iran in a price range of Rs 2,937-Rs 5,174 ($45-$78) per ton and 209 tons from the UAE at a price range of Rs 4,794-Rs 9,962 ($73-$150) per ton.
