Coking coal imports via Mormugao port up 24.49% m-o-m in Sept

October 9: Imports of coking coal via Mormugao port stood at 442,178 tons during the month of September, up 24.49% from 355,184 tons in August, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

During September 2012, coking coal imports via the port stood at 481,747 tons.

In September 2013, 301,736 tons came from Australia at a price range of Rs 8,371-Rs 11,174 ($131-$167) per ton while 140,442 tons came from South Africa at a price range of Rs 6,738-Rs 6,882 ($101-$109) per ton.

However, during August 2013, 288,372 tons came from Australia at a price range of Rs 8,359-Rs 10,696 ($128-$174) per ton while 66,811 tons came from the US at a price of Rs 12,671 ($194) per ton.
