February 4: Washery grade coking coal (W3 and W4) offered on the e-auction platform conducted by coaljunction for Coal India Ltd (CIL) subsidiaries in January 2014 met with very good demand as the entire offered quantity of 145,150 tons got allotted during the month. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 3,587/ton.
Washery grade coking coal (W2, W3 and W4) offered on this platform conducted in December 2014 also met with very good demand as out of the offered quantity of 386,950 tons, 380,670 tons got allotted during the month. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 3,510/ton.
Meanwhile, the washery grade coking coal offered during November met with moderate demand as out of the offered quantity of 199,250 tons, 166,510 tons got allotted during the month. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 3,914/ton.
