October 7: Washery grade coking coal (W3 and W4) offered at the e-auction conducted by coaljunction for Coal India Ltd (CIL) subsidiaries during September 2013 met with moderate demand as out of 238,450 tons offered, 174,360 tons got allotted. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 3,180/ton.
In August, the offered quantity met with good demand as 85.13% of the 326,200 tons offered was allotted at a premium of 0-106%. The total allotted quantity stood at 277,700 tons and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 3,361/ton.
However, in July 76.54%, of the total offered quantity of 366,700 tons was allotted. The total allotted quantity stood at 197,280 tons and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 3,333/ton.
