September 26: A more or less moderate demand was witnessed for washery grade (W3) coking coal offered by Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) and Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) for allotment through the MSTC platform in August 2014.
During August, a total of 95,040 tons of coking coal was offered out of which 50,180 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 4,174 per ton.
However, a high demand was seen for the small amount of 4,010 tons of coking coal offered during July as the entire quantity got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 4,148 per ton.
On the other hand, in June, 138,500 tons were offered for allotment out of which 87,850 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,199 per ton.
