April 7: G3 grade (GCV between 6401 and 6700 Kcal/kg) continued to met with strong demand in e-auction in March as the entire offered quantity of 22,000 tons by ECL got allotted at weighted average price of Rs 6,459 per ton on the e-auction platform of coaljunction.
There was strong demand of this grade on this platform in February 2015 as well as the entire quantity of 23,270 tons offered by ECL allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 6378/ton.
The continued lower offerings in both the months appear to have led to higher realisations.
In January, there was fair demand for this grade of coal on coaljunction’s platform as out of the entire offered quantity of 53,500 tons of coal only 41,100 tons was allotted and that too at a weighted average price of Rs 5,593/ton.
