DPL floats spot tender for imported coking coal

December 12: The Durgapur Projects Ltd, a leading merchant coke maker with headquarters in Kolkata, has floated a spot tender to procure 25,000 tons (+/-10%) coking coal.

The importers and suppliers of imported low ash metallurgical coking coal can submit their bids in two parts till 11 am on December 18.

The evaluation of the material and price would be carried out on the basis of contribution per ton o coke after considering moisture and VM content.

The company is looking to buy coke with Moisture of 10-12%, Ash content of 9.50 to 10.0%, VM of 19-27%, sulphur of 0.6-0.8%, phosphorus of 0.04% to 0.06%, CSN of 5-9 stad, fluidity (DDPM) of 150-2000, vitrinite content of 45% (min)  and MMR of 1.05% to 1.36%.
