Eastern Railway freight loading up 11% in Jan y-o-y

February 5: Operating freight loading of Eastern Railway (ER) during the month of January 2015 increased by 11% to 6.397 million tons (mt) against a volume of 5.763 mt recorded in the same month of 2014.

On a cumulative basis, total originating freight loading of Eastern Railways for the period April-January, 2014-15, increased to 54.987 mt, up 9.24% from 50.335 mt handled in the same period of 2013-14.
