August 5: G7 grade coal (GCV range of 5,200-5,500 Kcal/kg) met with excellent demand on the coaljunction platform in July 2014 as the entire offered quantity of 12,770 got allotted. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 3,778/ton.
In June, this grade of coal, however, met with good demand on the coaljunction platform as out of the 33,300 tons offered, 27,060 tons got allotted. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,997/ton.
Similar demand had been witnessed for the same grade of coal in May as out of 188,500 tons offered, 168,800 tons had got allotted. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month had been Rs 2,815/ton.
