October 31: Fair demand was witnessed for G-6 grade (GCV 5,501 to 5,800 Kcal/kg) coal offered by five subsidiaries of CIL in the month of September 2014 via the e-auctions conducted on the MSTC platform as out of the 39,345 tons offered, 39,240 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 4,680 per ton.
Further high demand was witnessed for G-6 grade offered by two subsidiaries of CIL in August 2014 on the MSTC platform as the full 15,200 tons of the offered quantity got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 4,738 per ton.
Similar strong demand was also witnessed for the same grade in July 2014 as the entire 30,000 tons of the offered quantity got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 4,103 per ton.
