There was fair demand for 49,900 tons of G3 grade coal (GCV between 6,401 and 6,700 Kcal/kg) offered by Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL) and Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) for allotment through coaljunction in December 2015, as per data available with ICMW.
There was nil demand for 10,000 tons of G3 grade coal offered by South Eastern Coalfields (SECL) for allotment through coaljunction in November 2015.
However, strong demand was witnessed for G3 grade coal offered by SECL for allocation through e-auction on coaljunction in October, 2015, as almost the entire offered quantity was allotted during the month. A total of 8,500 tons of this grade was offered on coaljunction in October of which 8,490 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 5,518 per ton.
