January 29: A fair demand was noticed for G4 grade (GCV of 6,101-6,400 Kcal/kg) coal for allotment through the e-auction platform of MSTC in December 2014, as out of the entire offered quantity of 71,200 tons of coal, 61,450 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 4,478 per ton.
In fact, a high demand was noticed for this grade in November 2014, as out of the entire offered quantity of 26,400 tons, 26,340 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 7,541 per ton.
A strong demand was also noticed for this grade offered by CCL in October 2014, as the entire offered quantity of 3,670 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 6,011 per ton.
