Feb anthracite coal imports via Chennai down 22.58%

March 14: Anthracite coal imports via Chennai Port dropped 22.58% to 96 tons in February 2014 against 124 tons reported in January, as per provisional data available with ICMW, showing a huge increase.

In February, the single consignment arrived from China at a unit price of Rs 25,177 ($400) while January imports comprised two tranches from China in a price band of Rs 19,423 - Rs 26,123 ($312-$420) per ton.
