March 31: Imports of gypsum via Mundra Port stood at 762 tons during the month of February 2015, against 498 tons in January 2015, showing a rise of 53.01%, according to provisional data available with ISMW.
During the first 11 months of the current fiscal, total imports through the port were at 114,858 tons against 35,380 tons seen in the same period of the previous fiscal.
Total imports in the entire fiscal of 2013-14 stood at 35,380 tons.

In February 2015, gypsum imports stood at 762 tons of which 454 tons came from Iran and 308 tons from Oman.
In January 2015, out of total gypsum imports of 498 tons, as much as 275 tons came from Iran at Rs 3,865/ton ($62/ton), 103 tons from Oman at Rs 8,381/ton ($135/ton), 100 tons from Saudi Arabia at Rs 8,641/ton ($135/ton) and 20 tons from Thailand at various price levels.
