Firefighters extinguish coal fire at Ohio power station

Firefighters from several jurisdictions were called in Thursday to help deal with a fire at a power station along the Ohio River.
A conveyer belt fire was reported in a building at the Miami Fort station on Brower Road about 8 a.m. Thursday.

A fire chief told WLWT News 5's Andrew Setters the fire was in a coal bunker, and firefighters worked with company employees to put it out.

No injuries were reported.

The facility produces as much as 1163 megawatts through three coal-fired steam units.
