New UserG-5 grade coal sees fair demand in July e-auction

August 28: There was fair demand for G-5 grade (GCV 5,801 to 6,100 Kcal/kg) coal offered by two subsidiaries of Coal India Ltd (CIL) for allotment through the e-auction platform of MSTC in July 2014, as 44,800 tons got allotted against the offered quantity of 45,750 tons at a weighted average price of Rs 3,984 per ton.
In June as well, there was fair demand for G-5 grade of coal offered by five subsidiaries of CIL for allotment through the e-auction platform of MSTC, as 258,800 tons got allotted against the offered quantity of 323,300 tons at a weighted average price of Rs 3,838 per ton.
Similarly, there was good demand for the same grade of coal offered by four subsidiaries of CIL for allotment in May 2014, as 50,612 tons got allotted against the offered quantity of 51,582 tons at a weighted average price of Rs 3,472 per ton.
