New UserG-7 grade attracts good demand in Sept e-auction

October 31: There was good demand for G-7 grade (GCV ranging from 5,201 to 5,500 Kcal/kg) coal offered by four subsidiaries (CCL, WCL, ECL and SECL) of CIL for allotment through the MSTC platform during September 2014 as out of the offered quantity of 76,110 tons, 74,280 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,180 per ton.
However, there was strong demand for G-7 grade offered by two subsidiaries (CCL and BCCL) of CIL during August 2014 as the entire offered quantity of 3,800 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 4,049 per ton.
Good demand was also witnessed for this grade offered by two subsidiaries (CCL and SECL) in July 2014 as 35,410 tons got allotted out of the offered quantity of 38,250 at a weighted average price of Rs 2,934 per ton.
