New UserG-9 grade coal sees moderate demand in Aug e-auction

September 26: There was moderate demand for G-9 grade (GCV 4,601 to 4,900 Kcal/kg) coal offered through the MSTC platform in August 2014 by CCL, as out of the 500 tons offered, 300 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 1,572 per ton.
Strong demand was, however, seen in the case of this grade in July 2014, as out of the 32,500 tons offered, 32,480 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,007 per ton.
Similar to August, there was an average demand for G-9 grade coal offered through the MSTC platform in June 2014, as out of the 200,270 tons offered, 171,750 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,801 per ton.
