G1, G2 grades not offered in January e-auction

February 4: G1 and G2 grades of coal were not offered for allotment by CIL on the e-auction platform of coaljunction during January 2015, similar to that in December 2014, as per information available with ICMW.

However, in November 2014, very high demand was witnessed for G1 grade coal offered by NECL of CIL on this platform as the entire offered quantity of 21,750 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 7,092 per ton.

On the other hand, G2 grade was not offered for allotment via e-auction on coaljunction during November 2014.
