September 3: Strong demand was witnessed for G11 grade coal (GCV range 4,001 and 4,300 Kcal/kg) in August 2014 as the entire offered quantity of 25,000 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,942/ton.
Similar demand was witnessed for G11 grade coal during July 2014 as out of the 369,000 tons of coal offered, 368,990 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,285/ton.
In fact, very strong demand was also witnessed for G11 grade coal during June as the entire offered quantity of 3,00,000 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,169/ton.
