April 07: An extension of strong trend was witnessed for G12 grade coal (GCV of 3,701 and 4,000 Kcal/kg) in the e-auction on coaljunction platform in March 2015.
The entire offered quantity of 624,000 tons during the month got allotted at weighted average price of Rs 1716 per ton.
In February too, a strong demand was witnessed for this grade of coal when the entire offered quantity of 11,24,000 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 1,642/ton.
Similar was the trend in January when entire offered quantity of 611,000 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 1,224/ton.
