Low demand was witnessed for G5 grade coal (GCV range of 5,801 to 6,100 Kcal/kg) in the January 2016 spot e-auction on coaljunction as out the total quantity of 120,410 tons offered by Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) and Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL), 36,000 got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,603 per ton, according to data available with ICMW.
However, good demand was witnessed for G5 grade coal in the December 2015 spot e-auction on coaljunction as out of the total quantity of 177,000 tons offered by South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), ECL and Central Coalfields (CCL), 124,290 got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,878 per ton.
Meanwhile, low demand was also witnessed for G5 grade coal in the November 2015 on coaljunction as out the total quantity of 200,150 tons offered by SECL and CCL, 51,400 got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,913 per ton.
